Dragon Slayer's Trial: Vigilance

Based on his reading of Merlinius’ memoirs, the Loremaster of Thornhill has set me on the path to attempt the wizard’s Trial of Vigilance.

The wizard left little in the way of details concerning his trials, expecting his champion to adapt to whatever they face. For this trial, all I know is that the champion must exercise constant vigilance and care with their footing.

The Trial of Vigilance is housed inside a vault the wizard placed within the Mistywood. I may be able to reach it by exploring the thickets south-east of Fog’s Dwindling village.

Once inside, I will also need to speak a magic phrase provided to me by the Loremaster...

I have reached the Vault of Vigilance in the southern reaches of the Mistywood, and now find my way barred by a magical door, placed to prevent unwitting explorers from entering.

According to the Loremaster, if I speak the correct words, the door should allow me to pass.

The phrase he gave me to utter was ‘Dovah Qah’.

Having passed the door, I'm greeted by a maze of corridors. I should keep my wits about me and set down the hallways in search of the innermost chamber...

With careful footing I evaded the wizard's ghosts roaming the vault! It's time I claim the Dragon Slayer's helm and armor from their pedestal.

I have passed the Trial of Vigilance and reclaimed the Dragon Slayer’s helm and armor! The Loremaster back in Thornhill will still want to verify that the artifacts have not deteriorated over time.

He awaits me in his library, near the Brinebridge on the eastern side of the city.
