Restoration of the Dragon Slayer's Crossbow

According to the Loremaster of Thornhill, one of the Dragon Slayer’s relics corroded by time is his crossbow, for which its wooden parts must be remade almost entirely.

To restore it myself, I would need 4 Deadwood Yew Logs, 10 Split Highland Wood and 2 Barbed Tribal Fittings, together with the deteriorated crossbow from the Loremaster. Remaking the bow will require a carpenter's workbench and 75 skill in Crafting.

Deadwood Yew grows in the harsh mountain reaches, Split Highland Wood may be made from ordinary mountain timber, and the Barbed Tribal Fittings are crafted by the mountain barbarians. Once the materials are gathered, I should take them to a carpenter's workbench and rebuild the weapon.

Alternatively, the Loremaster suggested I seek out Opticus Aluminar near the old quarry in southern Haywind, who may be able to perform the delicate task in exchange for coin.

With the crossbow repaired, its enchantments must still be restored.

To do the work myself at a Mystic's Workbench, I would need to combine the crossbow with 10 Arcane Powder, 3 Mystic's Amber and 1 Elemental Crystal. 75 skill in Sorcery is also required.

Arcane Powder may be created at a Mystic's Workbench or found on magical creatures, Mystic's Amber is at times discovered within the Wildsfir of Prowler's Thicket south of Thornhill, and an Elemental Crystal may be taken from a powerful air elemental in the far north, which I may reach by caravan from northeast of Thornhill.

Alternatively, I may seek out Traberius Varrange, emissary of the Hydrobor Circle in northern Haywind, and ask him to perform the spellwork in exchange for coin.

The Dragon Slayer's crossbow has been repaired and enchanted anew!

I should return the finished weapon to the Loremaster of Thornhill for a final inspection, so that he may judge whether the quality of the restoration will stand up to its purpose.
